Activities

Intramurals

Every semester we participate in numerous intramural sports including Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Soccer. These events provide us with a great time to get together and have fun showing off our skills (or lack thereof). We generally rank in the top two or three teams in each sport at the end of the year. Intramurals are such a great time for all of our members, that we usually enter two or three teams into each sport so that everyone who wants to play will have an available spot.

Congratulations to our 7on7 flag football team, "The Untouchables", for being chosen as the only team to represent Mississippi State University in the 2006 NIRSA National Campus Championship Series Regional Flag Football Tournament in Hattiesburg' MS! The team won their bracket and made it to the quaterfinals of the tournament!

Parties and Swaps

Our most recent Swap was this semsester with Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, and Delta Delta Delta. We all had a good time up at our house. Our jambalaya dinner was catered by the Three Generations cook next door, which everyone seemed to enjoy. We all had a good time at our get-together this year, and hope it is as successful and friendly next year, too! Take a look at some of our pictures from this event.

Brotherhood Trips

Just this fall, we have several brotherhood trips planned to help us get to know each other better and give us a time to hang out. These are the events that make being a fraternity man rewarding. Our brotherhood trips this semester include a camping trip to Lowndes State Park and a Lock-In later on in the semeseter.

Road Trips

The most recent road trip was a trip to the Delta Chi chapter at Louisiana State University to help initiate their colony members into a full-fledged chapter. By meeting their actives and helping them become an established fraternity at LSU once again, we hope to further propagate Delta Chi in the South, making it the best it can be!

President's Cup

The President's Cup is an award that is presented every year by Delta Chi to a chapter that exhibits exceptional performance of their duties and programs. We here at Mississippi State were given this award three times recently, in 1998, 2000, and 2001.

Community Service

Habitat for Humanity brought several of our Brothers into the area surrounding Starkville to help an underpriviledged family construct a house. We worked with many other greeks and volunteers to complete this project. Take a look at some of our pictures.
